No other case, since the OJ Simpson case, has drawn so much media attention, as the Casey Anthony trial has. I know people who have followed this trial every step of the way, and with baited breath, they have hung on each and every word. Some people's whole life styles have been altered around the outcome of this trial.

I think the reason there is so much emotional attachment to this trial over others, is because it flows contrary to the most natural and strongest of love connections in life itself, and that is the natural and binding love connection of a mother to her children. No other bond on the face of the earth is stronger, weather it be human or in the animal world.

I did not follow the entire trial from start to finish, but there are some very important points that I would like to reiterate. I think most of these have probably already been covered, but this is my take on the matter.

I know that this is not the most popular stand, but I think the verdict handed down was the proper one, according to the laws and our judicial system. The prosecuting attorneys could never tie her directly to the actual murder of young Caylee Anthony.

I thought when the prosecution was catching air in some cans, and bringing in experts in that field, they were groping for some leads and some answers and they weren't being very convincing to anyone. They were looking for that missing puzzle piece, and unfortunately, they never could find it.

I am a proponent of the death penalty, but part of that conviction is, you have to be absolutely convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt that this person is guilty, or you cannot serve up this type of sentence. Despite the horrible tragedy of the death of young Caylee Anthony, taking out the life of someone else, just to satisfy the emotions of the crowd, is not the right thing to do either.

I think that Casey Anthony was a horrible mother, that's why her parents were really the main care givers and the ones who probably had more input into the life and death of Caylee Anthony than anyone else. Casey Anthony was out partying and having fun taking care of herself, while the parents were really the ones taking care of Caylee.

The father and brother were accused by Casey herself, of being sexually molested. Did the father and brother molest Casey and maybe even Caylee Anthony? Was this really an accidental death or a cover up of two perverted individuals?

People who are raised in a home of sexual molestation, and live that kind of life, sometimes find death as the only door of escape from this prison, weather it be theirs or someone else.

Maybe Casey Anthony is feeling that she is finally free from that kind of life, free from the sexual prison that she lived and Caylee was the cost of that freedom, and now she can go on to live the life that she always wanted? If that is true, I think her real prison is just beginning.

I noticed her dress and demeanor completely changed after she was acquitted, and she was in a very jolly mood as she walked into the courtroom to hear the judge read the sentence. Her long hair was down and she was wearing a tight fitting sweater, completely different from the librarian look that she had throughout the entire three year trial.

Maybe Casey Anthony is really this horrible mother who took the life of her very young and precious daughter, so she could get free of the responsibility and the heavy burden that raising children is? We may never really ever find the truth of what happened to Kaylee.

One thing that we all know is that, like the OJ trial, the investigation of the death of Caylee was screwed up and botched from the very beginning. It took six months to find a body, that was not very far from the house, and by than it was so decomposed that there was not much evidence left.

I think the real guilty party here is the police and the investigation team responsible for gathering all the evidence so we can catch a murderer, and through our judicial system, take him or her out of the public, so they can no longer be a threat to anyone else.

That didn't happen, and all we know is three people that know a lot more information than was brought out in this trial are walking free today.

What do you think?

Hey Brian, I'm not a good one to ask cause I thought OJ was innocent. LOL I totally agree with what you said about the guilty party(s) being the police and investigative team. We may never get the real story. Great post.

What should we do? Nothing. It really isn't our business. I see nothing to suggest the justice system did not operate exactly as it was designed to.

Although we may not like the jury's decision, it was certainly theirs to make, and I for one will respect it, and the system of law that keeps us outside the realm of an angry, irrational, lynch mob that thinks it can just "know" someone is guilty of a crime. (Not saying you or anyone here believes this, but I've heard it elsewhere)

Casey Anthony is an innocent woman, at least as far as the justice system is concerned. Only she likely knows the full scope of her involvement and whether or not she is truly free from any responsibility.

That's a first for me Bill. I've never heard anyone who thinks OJ was innocent, but like they say, "it's not what you believe, it's what you can prove."

Thanks for the comment Bill

You're absolutely right Bud, but there were a whole lot of people standing outside that courtroom on the day they were reading the verdict, that given the chance, were ready to lunch her, right than and there. Scary thought.

Brian it is unbeliable that she was not found guilty. Casey Anthony to me was guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Who kill the baby, she was murdered? Body found near the home. She must have had the best of lawyers, or just luck.

That's the million dollar question Nan. Who killed little Caylee Anthony? Emotions all point toward Casey, but not evidence. We may never find the truth.

What mother is over a month reporting her baby missing, lies about where she is within that time and smiling and laughing the whole time she is on trial for murdering her? Well there is a judge she will not get past, lets see her smiles then.

I certainly agree 100% with you Pollyannalana. The truth won't get by Him.
