Three Sides To Every Story
79
You may have heard this before;
There are three sides to every story. Your side. My side and the truth. I heard these words years ago by Pastor Robert Armstrong of Warrendale Community Church. A man of great influence for me. He was a great student of the Bible.
God has a lot to say about the truth. Although this is not going to be a story about the Bible, but you can't talk about truth, and leave the author, originator, and the embodiment of the truth out. To find the truth and then living the truth are two totally different events in any one's life. This is what I would like to talk about here.
This is about Tiger Woods. I know that so much has been written about the whole story of the accident and the infidelity, but I wanted to put my two cents in.
I have such a mindset on the truth. Every where I go, everything I see and hear, I am obsessed with the lack of truth in our society. No one tells the truth anymore. I would challenge you go out and find truth in the streets and cities of this great land, and most of all....in your own heart.
I look at my self, and I am doing much better now in my life with truth then I have ever done before, but it is still a struggle. I don't do it all the time. Why is it so hard to tell the truth?
Hypocrite. From the dictionary it means; " a person who pretends to have virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles etc., that he or she doesn't actually possess." The word hypocrite comes from a Greek word which means; " a stage actor, hence one who pretends to be what he is not." Now before you start applying this to everyone that you know, take a good long look in the mirror of your own heart.
Now I don't mean to put anymore guilt on Tiger Woods then already is there, but I would like to look at his incident to explain what I just described. Tiger Woods children, wife and Tiger Wood, needs our prayers and support. Anyone of us, given those circumstances, could have been in the same situation.
Tiger Woods grew up in a good home. I don't know all the details, but for the most part, he had good parents who instilled in him good morals and character to make him what he is today. Not just the best golfer and sports figure of our time, but the fiber and quality of a good man. A good catch for any women, and believe me, there were lots of them knocking on his door.
A handsome guy. A guy of solid morals and quality character. All of Tiger Woods endorsements, all of Tiger Woods wins, and all of Tiger Woods net worth, put him on a shelf above all of us. The crown jewel of what every parent wants for their daughter. Just think of what it would be like! But with all this comes the recipe for the perfect storm that not to many people have been able to withstand.
This man's upbringing, training and every moral fiber of his being would be tested, as it is with all of us. We've all gone through this. Although the wealth, fame, and spotlight may have not been there, but we all went through what Tiger Woods went through. Before you pass judgment on him, how did you do? Maybe you got by and swept it under the rug before anyone noticed.
I know that I failed my test. I won't go into all the details, but I failed and I hurt a lot of people and many lives were changed forever, because of what I did. In my case, only the people involved will know what I'm talking about, but in Tiger Woods case, the whole world is watching. There is no hiding place for him.
When I heard the news about this whole thing, I was as shocked as everyone else was. Tiger Woods? It can't be? Not him? He would be the last guy I ever would think this could happen too.
Tiger did his best to cover up and twist the truth and hide from any questions. He did his best to protect his image of one who pretends to have virtues, moral or religious beliefs, and principles that he didn't possess.Or does he?
I believe that Tiger Woods does have those good qualities deep down in his heart. You could see it and hear it in him. You can't fake that stuff. Yes, he slipped up. He is growing up, as we all do. I do believe he is finding the truth right now. I pray that it is not to late for him and Tiger Woods wife, who will also be growing through all this and together they will learn, as we all must do, to walk with the truth at my side.

Good Hub! You know it is so very true that people have a hard time with truth. It disgust me because when you believe in peoples lies they have got over on you. Maybe you don't realize it but they have. With Tiger Woods his father [according to the media] cheated on his wife numerous times. Tiger Woods lived what he learned is all. He repeated his father's poor patterns of unethical behavior.
Children paying the price for their parents actions. We live what we learn. He had to learn the mistake of his parent to grow spiritually. He is a better person for it. No matter what anyone else says about him he has grown spiritually because of the situation and he is a better person now because of it.
I like your writing a lot.
God Bless you,
Kimberly Bunch :)
